Huntsville Physical Medicine Institute was founded by Dr. Greg Peter and has served Huntsville and the surrounding community for over 43 years. Dr. Brian McGee, D.C. now continues that same philosophy: find the cause of the problem and correct it, rather than relieving symptoms and sending you back out the door.

Dr. Brian McGee, D.C. leads Huntsville Physical Medicine Institute, continuing founder Dr. Greg Peter's corrective-care philosophy for the Huntsville community.
His approach is the same one the practice was built on: find the cause of a problem, chiropractic or otherwise, and correct it, rather than relieving symptoms and sending patients back out the door.

We're not a band-aid clinic. Relieving pain and sending someone back out the door doesn't fix the underlying issue, so our approach is to find the cause of the problem and correct it, a philosophy the practice has followed since it was founded in 1980.
Neuropathy is nerve damage within the peripheral nervous system, the network that carries sensory and motor signals throughout the body. Treatment starts with a thorough assessment, including nerve conduction studies and electromyography (EMG) testing, and a personalized plan built from those results.
Sciatica happens when pressure is placed on the sciatic nerve, often from a herniated disc, degenerative disc issues, or spinal stenosis. It can cause pain, tingling, burning, numbness or weakness anywhere the nerve travels, from the lower back through the hips, legs and feet.
Yes. A child's spine takes on a lot of stress during development, starting with the birthing process and continuing through falls, posture and growth spurts. Care for kids is gentle and non-invasive, aimed at correcting issues before they become hard-wired in.
